I want to take a moment to wish you a happy Labor Day.
If you have the day off today you should thank organized labor. Take some time today to reflect on how you have benefited from organized labor.
Take the time to remember the men, women, and children who picketed for the labor freedoms we enjoy. They were shot by their employers for those rights. Those rights are being threatened by a corporate machine only concerned with generating short term profits for shareholders . They fought so that you could enjoy a better life than they had. We must continue the fight so that our children can will be able to live a comfortable life.
The price we pay for that liberty is vigilance. Do not let our rights be stolen under your watch.
